The theme for this year's #NationalWomensHealthWeek is dedicated to empowering women to take charge of their health journeys and shining a light on health issues unique to women. One way to do that is through routine health screenings. From mammograms to pap smears, staying updated can catch issues early. Let's make a commitment to prioritize physical, mental, and emotional well-being - this week and beyond. #MSHO24 #NWHW #WomensHealthWeek

The Voice of Hematology and Oncology in Michigan
About us
The Voice of Hematology and Oncology in Michigan The Michigan Society of Hematology and Oncology is a physician organization representing almost all medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and hematologists in the state. Our roster includes private practice physicians, those in the community hospital setting, as well as those practicing at the state's academic medical centers and all enrolled in hematology and oncology fellowship programs. In addition to services for our members designed to advance cancer care, MSHO offers education and networking opportunities to physician extenders, oncology nurses, practice and clinic administrators, reimbursement specialists, pharmacists, financial navigators and all staff under the auspice of the physician's membership. The Society benefits from the support of corporate members who partner with us to further our aligned goals.

Today, on #MelanomaMonday, we stand together in the fight against melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. Melanoma is the most serious type of skin cancer. In 2024, it’s estimated that more than 200,340 melanomas will be diagnosed and about 8,290 people will die of melanoma. As members of the hematology oncology community, let's spread awareness about the importance of sun safety, regular skin checks, and the latest advancements in melanoma treatment and research. Together, we can make a difference and save lives. https://lnkd.in/epVxZwtz #MSHO24 #MelanomaAwarenessMonth
